Zack Taylor

We are pleased to welcome Zack Taylor as the new Director of the Local Government Program, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Taylor is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, and is cross-appointed with the Department of Geography & Environment. He joined Western in 2015 and has been an active contributor to the LGP through his teaching, research, and service. We look forward to the vision and leadership he will bring to the program.

Heather Pierce

Heather is responsible for all non-academic aspects of the program including course administration, student support, recruitment activities, alumni relations and support, statistics and tracking, admissions coordination, and, in conjunction with the Director, the general management and administration of the MPA and GDPA programs.
