Tuition
The tuition for the MPA is charged every term. Once a student has been activated for the upcoming term, Western will populate the tuition charge to the student's account in Student Center.
Tuition rates and fees for the MPA program are set before each term by Western's Board of Governors and are subject to change.
General graduate student fees, tuition, and financial information can be found on the SGPS website. To find the MPA tuition amount on the Fee Schedules, choose the academic term (fall, winter, or summer), academic load (full-time/part-time), Canadian/International, and look under Faculty: Social Science, Program: Public Administration.

Funding Opportunities
Financial Assistance: Graduate students who find themselves in financial need have access to a full range of bursary programs, loans and financial aid counselling at Western.
Graduate Student Internship: Canadian Graduate Students are welcome to pursue the GSIP program. They will identify a 4, 8, or 12 month paid internship on their own. Before they accept an offer, the program administration asks that they share the details so they can make sure that it is an eligible experience at a graduate student level caliber. The student would then seek the support of their department with a provided document of support. Once the DOS is processed, the student can apply for a leave of absence to pursue the internship. Unfortunately, currently, international students are not eligible to participate. For more information please email gradel@uwo.ca
Western's Work Study: The program offers an opportunity for students to work part-time on campus in jobs that accommodate their studies. The objectives of the Work Study program are: to assist students in financial need with a regular source of income, offer students training and experience that will assist them in further studies and their eventual entrance into the workforce, and to help staff and faculty.

Affordability Calculator
The Graduate Student Affordability Calculator was designed for you to get a better estimate of what it will cost to attend one of Western's graduate programs for one year. The calculator is not a promise of funding, or a place to access scholarship support or financial aid; rather, it is intended to provide you with an accurate estimate of how much money you will need to pay for your tuition, fees, housing, food, and many other necessities for a 12-month (three term) academic year.
