2017 Local Government Alumni Society Annual Conference

Western's Local Government Program Alumni Society is pleased to announce our 2017 Annual Conference, The Evolution of Local Government: A Celebration of 25 years.

Topics to be covered at this year's conference include empowering women in local government, the evolving federal-municipal relationship and how to pay for city building.

Registration fees are $110 for alumni, $125 for non-alumni and $50 for students. Registration includes nutrition breaks and lunch.

We also invite you to join us for Cocktails & Conversation, a networking reception taking place on Thursday, November 9 from 7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre. Join fellow alumni for a thought provoking session led by past and present professors who will discuss their reflections and thoughts on what is to come in the study of local government. Featured panel speakers are Andrew Sancton, Joseph Lyons, Bill Irwin and Emmanuel Brunet-Jailly. The registration fee to attend Cocktails & Conversation is $15 per person and includes appetizers and one complimentary alcoholic beverage. A cash bar will also be available.
