City of London Program

In 2012 the Local Government Program began a partnership with the City of London to offer Western University's GDPA program to their employees. The program ran from Fall 2012 to Summer 2013 and the first cohort graduated in Fall 2013.

The Local Government Program and the City of London have continued this partnership. Following a hiatus for the pandemic, the partnership has resumed. City of London employees that are interested in the GDPA can reach out to the City of London Learning and Development and consult the criteria on our Application Process page.

Progression
The City of London GDPA is completed in one year. Students take two courses in the fall term, and two courses in the winter term. Any modifications to this approved schedule requires special permission from both the City of London and the LGP Program Director.

Tuition
The GDPA program has a pay per course tuition. There are four courses required to be completed for the GDPA. Western sets all fees & tuition costs before each term and the Tuition Fees Schedules are published by the Office of the Registrar and can also be found here on the School of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) website.

The Local Government Program welcomes inquiries from municipalities and agencies interested in similar arrangements.
